HashBase — High-speed hash lookup at massive scale
HashBase is a massive, searchable hash lookup service built for security researchers, penetration testers, and incident responders who need fast, reliable plaintext candidates for hashed values. With over 2,000,000,000 unique records and an optimized backend, HashBase delivers rapid results without the noise.
Backed by a high-performance database with 2,000,000,000+ unique records. Built with a modern, robust stack.
What it supports:
13+ hash types:
* MD4
* MD5
* Double MD5
* SHA-1
* SHA-224
* SHA-256
* SHA-384
* SHA-512
* RIPEMD-160
* MySQL 3.23
* MySQL 4.1
* Whirlpool
* Half MD5
Key benefits:
* Massive coverage: Billions of entries to maximize hit rates across legacy and modern algorithms.
* Fast lookups: Highly optimized API and indexing for quick, concurrent queries at scale.
* Simple UX: Clean, colorized CLI with prompts and progress bars—great for both single checks and bulk operations.
* Flexible workflows: Dehash directories or single files, extract hashes from folders, and run batch lookups with ease.
Typical uses:
1. Security auditing and password recovery (with explicit authorization)
2. Penetration testing and red team workflows
3. Forensics and incident response validation
4. Hash identification and quick feasibility checks
How it works (simple flow):
1. Load your hash or a list of hashes.
2. HashBase queries the database in real time.
3. If a match exists, you receive one or more candidate plaintexts plus relevant metadata.
Why it stands out:
Scale and speed combined: 2B+ documents with efficient, concurrent lookups.
Clear UX: The Console interface makes command-line use approachable.
Notes and best practices:
Intended for legal, ethical use only—ensure you have permission to test or recover any data.
Hit rates depend on hash type, input complexity, and salting. Rainbow tables are most effective for unsalted or weakly protected hashes.
Getting started:
Download the Windows CLI .exe
Run the tool, and start querying.
Please be aware that this is a test version of Hashbase. Features are still under development and may not work perfectly. If you encounter any issues, please report them to help us improve the software.
